About Me
If you are interested and have a moment to spare, I would love to tell you a little about myself and how it all began.

My name is Barbora,
I am 23 years old, and stained glass art has been my passion for almost two years now.
I have been drawn to handicrafts and art since I was a child - from dancing of all kinds, to playing musical instruments, to many different art techniques.
But thanks to stained glass, I discovered something completely new in myself...
It all started on Pinterest. I wanted to renovate my room and came across Tiffany lamps. I fell in love with them, but their price seemed high to me at the time (now I understand why). And instead of buying, I said to myself: I'll try to learn how to make one myself.
I completed two semesters of a stained glass course in Prague and later a course in traditional leaded stained glass in Brno. But after a few months, just attending courses was no longer enough for me - I bought my own tools, my first sheets of glass, and started creating at home.
When I first needed more glass for my first lamp, the studio put me in touch with a wholesale glass supplier where they source their own glass. On the supplier’s website, I found out that their shop was located in the hometown of my grandmother and my mother. And when I went there in person, my grandmother told me that the glass shop was located in the exact house where she herself grew up.
I would say that stained glass was destined for me.
I mainly use the Tiffany technique. To create templates, I use a Cricut® Explore 3 cutting plotter, which allows me to prepare precise templates even for very fine and detailed pieces made from tiny fragments of glass. But I also create templates in the traditional way - with paper, pencil, scissors, and a permanent marker to outline individual pieces on the glass.
I produce a wide range of different pieces, and what I enjoy most is creating custom commissions.
Pet portraits, animals, flowers, window hangings, garden or flower pot decorations, 3D pieces such as candle holders and lamps, as well as tiaras, jewelry, and jewelry boxes.
Every piece is different, and each one has its own story.
Thank you for being here with me.
